686 Utilities: Terms & Privacy.

Last updated: 20th February 2024.

When using the 686 Utilities Discord Bot, you agree to these terms.

Usage

When using 686 Utilities, you agree to use it for its intended purpose.
As a free service, our features must not be put behind a paywall within enrolled servers. We have a very low tolerance for attempts to disrupt the bot or its services and will act at our discretion to prevent this. Our team reserves the right to blacklist users & servers with or without due reason.

Automatic Log Reading

By uploading your log to our log reading service, you agree to use it for personal use. This includes using it for yourselves, or your friends. You may not use the log reading service to provide support beyond this scope, nor pass off its results as your own work. This is known as 'proxy support', and we have systems in place to detect this.

Please read below on what data we collect from this service.

Data Collection

On the 20th February 2024, we introduced our Privacy Panel to provide users with greater control over Data Collection. This is accessible in any server with 686 Utilities by running /privacy.

We collect:

  • Server data: ID, channel IDs, ownership, size.

  • User data: ID.

  • Automatic Log Reading data.

    • When you upload a log, essential information is stored in memory in order to keep our information up to date.

    • A report is then generated about your log file in order for us to improve the service.

    • If you are experiencing a crash caused by a plugin, and the plugin developer has signed up for Automatic Bug Reports, they could receive crash-related information alongside a hyperlink to your log file. This allows them to resolve bugs & issues with their plugin without you needing to report it!

      • You can opt-out of this functionality via our Privacy Panel.

    • Your log file is never stored. It exists solely as your upload of the file to Discord.

  • Other data: number of interactions with the bot, command usage.

We do not collect:

  • Messages sent to the bot in Direct Messages.

  • Everything else not explicitly mentioned above.

We collect this information to provide the bots functionality and understand how our users interact with our bot.

By using 686 Utilities, you consent to this collection of data.

Third Party Services

Where there are interactions with third party services, we are not responsible for their terms & policies. Your use of such services is subject to them.

Liability

We are not liable for issues caused by the bot when online, or offline.

These terms may be updated without notice.

If you have any questions, concerns, or complaints regarding this, we encourage you to get in touch via our Support Server.
